This website has been set up to celebrate the life and work of Anthony Cotterell, a very gifted and amusing young man who was lost without trace in the aftermath of the battle of Arnhem, in September 1944.
The website is based on the research for my forthcoming biography of Anthony Cotterell: "Anthony Cotterell and Arnhem".
My other websites celebrate the RAF in World War Two, in particular the Pathfinder Force and 97 Squadron. For the website addresses or to email me, please go to this page: contact details
Alternatively, go straight to the About This Website page for all three websites, which gives their details. My father, Joe Mack, was in 97 Squadron of the PFF, and his photograph appears on this page.

The subtitle on this website:
"A Newspaper Man in Service Harness" was first used in December 1944, in "The War Illustrated", no 196, by Hamilton Fife who was reviewing Anthony's last book, "An Apple for the Sergeant".
